USSOCOM has committed to transforming their current Special Operations Forces Support Activity (a depot like organization supporting Special Operations Forces worldwide) into a Performance Based Logistics Services Contract. BAE Systems is uniquely positioned as an industry leader of Performance Based Logistics, maintenance and modification support activities to provide USSOCOM and its subordinate commands a world class SOF depot operation. The successful candidate is expected to be adaptive, responsive, flexible, knowledgeable and experienced in all aspects of quality and assurance management programs to lead BAE Systems efforts in establishing a highly effective, reliable logistics support operation. There is strong growth potential for this demanding, dynamic position. The successful candidate will manage logistics for SOFSA program ($375-500 million) effort with 250 employees. Advise the Operations Manager (Industrial) on all matters pertaining to logistical support aspects of contract. Integrate entire spectrum of contract logistics processes, including operational, acquisition, and wholesale efforts. Develop and implement customer service functions, physical distribution warehousing, production, and traffic strategies. Ensure compliance with Government regulations and contract requirements relative to shipping, receiving, storage, warehousing, and property control and management. Plan and develop multi-plant, multi-distribution system and support the logistics strategic planning process to meet CONUS and OCONUS contract logistical requirements. Direct personnel activities of department, such as recruitment, hiring, performance evaluations, and salary adjustments. JOB REQUIREMENTS: 7 years of extensive with large DOD programs in the areas of: production, manufacturing, maintenance operations 10 years experience in DOD and/or civilian operations management Experience in industrial relations as applied to an hourly workforce Excellent understanding of Earned Value Management principles and cost accounting software reporting systems Excellent understanding of understanding of standard aircraft and vehicle manufacturing and maintenance techniques Current active secret clearance (eligible for top secret) Bachelors degree in a business or technical field (engineering, science, or mathematics) and/or masters Formal training in Lean Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing highly desirable Green Belt/Black Belt/Master Black Belt/Champion certification Ability to work out of Lexington, KY office (due to location of customer) Special Operations Forces (SOF) experience People are the greatest asset in any Company ...
